Hard pastel on canvas.
I started by covering around the outside with masking tape to give it a clean crisp edge. I then painted the canvas black with acrylic paint. because it was 33*c it dried in the sun in 2 minutes! Then i started work on the face, adding layer after layer of browns and creams. The peacock started to take form next followed by deciding her hair would look better framing the bird. Im starting to see a real pattern in my paintings and drawings..... at least the ones that include people.... always end up with Birds in thm aswell! |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
